Reclaiming Creativity in the Everyday Classroom, by Dr. Beghetto

The IUP Center for Counselor Training and Services (CCTS) will be hosting its spring 2015 workshop, entitled Reclaiming Creativity in the Everyday Classroom, with creativity expert Dr. Ronald Beghetto. This one-day workshop will be held on Friday, March 6, at the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit in Greensburg, Pa.

Dr. Beghetto is an associate professor of Educational Psychology in the Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut and a foremost expert on creativity in education. He is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association (Division 10) and the editor-in-chief for the Journal of Creative Behavior. He has also received numerous awards for his research and teaching. His research focuses on creativity in educational settings in examining how teacher and student creativity are sometimes inadvertently suppressed as well as how they can be incorporated into the everyday classroom.
