Purpose

As part of its commitment to bettering the environment, The Conservancy of Southwest Florida offers internships to help aspiring environmentalists gain valuable skills and training in specific areas of interest. Supporting careers in the field is a key part of The Conservancy's role as a steward for the environment.

Each year, The Conservancy places approximately 52 interns in various positions throughout the organization. Participants are recent college graduates or students completing university studies who wish to receive real-world, hands-on experience in environmental careers. A scholarship is awarded to the intern in the amount of $1,500 for every quarter (12 weeks) completed — equivalent to $125 per week of service. Scholarship may be pro-rated to receive bi-weekly or quarterly. Optional FREE housing is also available.

Our Southwest Florida location provides the perfect venue for interns to gain knowledge and experience dealing with marine ecosystems, native wildlife, environmental policy/advocacy, education programs and more!
