How Transfer Students Register for Orientation

Follow the steps below to register for Orientation.

You will need your orientation invitation letter. For helpful information, refer to the Notes section on this page throughout your registration process.

  1. Click Register for Orientation (at top right). This will open a new page. Be sure to keep this instruction page and the registration page open while you are registering.
  2. You will be prompted to enter your Banner ID and PIN number, which can be found on the top of your Orientation invitation.
  3. Select Student Services.
  4. Select Orientation Enrollment Form.
  5. Complete the form as indicated. See Notes, below, for assistance.

Upon successful completion, you will see a success message on the screen. This indicates your registration has been submitted.

  • When selecting your date of Orientation attendance, be aware that only available dates for your admit category will be listed. (If a date listed elsewhere on our website is not listed here, it is not available to you.)
  • See and follow “Step 2: Understanding your Options" on the IUP Transfer Orientation Process 2015.
  • If the major listed for you on the form is not correct, please indicate your desired major on the online enrollment form.
  • If you need to be excused from school (or work) to attend Orientation, we can give you an excuse on our office stationery. Check the proper box on the enrollment form, and we will place an excuse in your check-in materials.
  • If you have a physical, learning, medical, psychological, or other disability, indicate this on the Orientation enrollment form. Identify the accommodations needed during Orientation and placement testing on your Orientation enrollment form, as well.
  • Prior Night/Overnight Arrangements:

December 5, 2015, attendees. While there is no formal program the night before Orientation, if you traveling a long distance, you may want to consider making local hotel arrangements so that you are well rested for the program and testing.

January 16, 2015, attendees. If you have previously contracted to reside on campus, you will move into the residence hall between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015. If you have not contracted and are driving a long distance, you may want to consider arriving early, the night before orientation, and making local hotel arrangements.

  • If you have a disability which requires accessible overnight housing, indicate this on the enrollment form.
  • Complete and submit the online enrollment form within the next week after receiving your letter.
