As you register, please be aware that the parent and student programs are intentionally planned to be separate throughout the day. Our office believes that it is important to introduce students to their new environment through interaction with trained peers, staff, and faculty. In a sense, this provides the first “controlled” entry into the academic environment where students must make decision in concert with advisors and seek and utilitze decentralized resources. The parent program helps you identify resources that may be of use to your student after beginning IUP.
Because you will play such an important role in the adjustment of your student to college life, we sincerely hope that you will join us for the Transfer Orientation program for parents and family members. If you have questions or concerns, you can call us at 724-357-4067 [Voice/T/D] between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., or e-mail us at orientation-testing@iup.edu.
Welcome to the IUP family, and we look forward to meeting you!
