The IUP University Chorus is open to singers campuswide who desire a quality choral experience featuring outstanding repertoire for mixed voices. Equally as important is an atmosphere of collegiality where lasting memories and musical experiences can be gained through high artistic standards and the pursuit of excellence.

Chorus is a large, mixed chorus that not only performs major works each semester, but also dedicates time to explore repertoire especially designed for men’s and women’s ensembles. Chorus members experience repertoire for both mixed and gender based ensembles. The ensemble rehearses every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:05 to 6:35 p.m. in Cogswell Hall, Room 120, and is offered for one credit (MUSC 134 001).

Membership in Chorus is open to all students—no audition is required. The director will assist students during the first week of classes to determine which voice part is most appropriate. Simply register for MUSC 134-001 and start singing!

For more information, complete the online membership form and we will contact you.
