All students must register at CCAC and through IUP’s on-line system! Please follow these detailed instructions in order to complete this important process correctly.
Log onto URSA and print your transcript from IUP.
Use your IUP transcript to complete/update your CCAC/IUP Program of Study Checklist. (In addition to being available on the website, checklists can be obtained in 173 SSC).
If you have not completed all of your CCAC courses, use the CCAC course guide to plan next semester’s CCAC courses. Fill out the form that you will use to register for CCAC courses.
You should register at CCAC for the CCAC courses that you have selected and the IUP courses that are listed on the registration form. Please register promptly at CCAC so that you will get the courses and schedule that you need. Even if you have finished all of your CCAC courses, you must register with CCAC for your IUP classes.
Before you can register with IUP using the on-line registration system, you will need to schedule an appointment with Dr. Moran. The sign-up sheets for appointments are on the bulletin board outside the office (173 SSC). Bring all registration materials, including your IUP transcript, to your advisement session. In addition, complete IUP’s Academic Advisement Summary and bring it with you to the meeting.
At your advisement session, you will receive your Time Appointment Letter for IUP’s registration system. It will contain the Alternate PIN (also called ALT or ALT PIN), which you must have in order to register for next semester. In addition, Dr. Moran will review your progress in the program and discuss any questions or concerns.
Use your Time Appointment Letter to register on line through URSA for your IUP courses. You will have to note carefully the available dates (listed on the Time Appointment Letter) when you will have access to the system. Please be sure to print out your registration when you are done, so that you have a record of your IUP schedule.
Hints and Tips
Remember that your PIN is the six-digit secret number that you have personally selected.
Once you are in the IUP registration system, you will be prompted to enter your Alternate PIN. It is located in the top right corner of the Time Appointment Letter and changes every semester. Save the Time Appointment Letter!
You don’t have to search for the course. Just go to Add Classes and use the Course Reference Number (CRN) listed on the CCAC/IUP website. If you have a hold on your IUP transcript and can’t print it, this usually means that you owe money, or someone thinks you owe money. Check with Student Accounts at IUP, 724-357-2207, to find out.
It is important that you register on time so that book orders, financial aid, and classroom assignments are correct.
