Here are the steps you will follow after your acceptance to IUP:
Receive your packet in the mail. This packet will include the following:
- An I-20 or DS-2019
- IUP admission letter
- Pre-Arrival Guide, which includes orientation dates and immigration and preparation information
- Immunization and health care information
- On-campus housing contract
- Orientation arrival confirmation form
Pay the SEVIS fee and make a visa appointment. This information is found in the Pre-Arrival Guide.

- Academic resources for you: These resources will be available to help you during your studies at IUP.
Make flight and housing arrangement. The IUP Office of International Education does not make housing arrangements for students. Make sure to make housing plans before you arrive. Housing is not easy to find. If you do not have housing arrangements, you will have to stay in a hotel until you make other arrangements. See the Pre-Arrival Guide for more housing information.
Return the Orientation Confirmation Form to the IUP Office of International Education.
Fly to Pittsburgh International Airport and make arrangements for getting to IUP for Orientation.
