CultureLinks is a free program run by the Office of International Education. CultureLinks goal is to help international students who have a partial tuition waiver, or who simply want to get involved in the campus and community or find places to volunteer.

Past volunteer opportunities have included the following:

  • Giving presentations on your country at local schools or in classes at IUP
  • Making bulletin boards
  • Tutoring students in your native language
  • Helping professors on campus
  • Helping various offices on campus
  • Volunteering at local community agencies

If you are interested in joining, please submit a CultureLinks application, or e-mail culture-links@iup.edu. Students who join will receive e-mails from CultureLinks listing current volunteer opportunities both at IUP and in the local community. PTW students are automatically added to the CultureLinks e-mail distribution list, so there is no need to submit an application.

See some Volunteer Opportunities.

PTW students may use volunteer hours from CultureLinks activities to fulfill the volunteer requirements of Partial Tuition Waiver. If you want to submit PTW hours, please complete the PTW Confirmation Form and submit to the OIE. For more information about PTW, please check out the PTW Brochure.

If you have any questions, please contact culture-links@iup.edu.
