Individualized Instructional Approvals for Fall and Spring Semesters

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, Article 26, Section B, any individualized instruction course request that is submitted for the semester when the same course is scheduled to be taught on campus, must be approved at Meet and Discuss. Given the number of changes in the schedule prior to registration, both parties agree that for the purpose of such individualized instruction approvals, the schedule is officially set the day before all courses are made available to students for registration. In order to verify this officially set schedule, IUP Management will supply to IUP-APSCUF a copy of this schedule and will furnish each department with a copy of their portion of this schedule.

This agreement is based upon the principle that the start of the pre-registration period for a future semester will occur during the eighth week of the current semester. Should future registrations begin at times earlier than the eighth week of the previous semester, either party can request that this side letter be reevaluated for potential revision.
