Undergraduate Studies
Current Students
Registration: Students already enrolled at IUP should use URSA to register.
- Course numbers for undergraduates are numbered 100 through 499.
- On-line course section numbers begin with an “8,” for example, 801, 802, 803.
- Writing-intensive on-line courses include a “W” in the section number, for example, 8W1, 8W2.
- An alternate PIN is not required to register for Winter or Summer Session courses.
Non-IUP Students
Registration: Non-IUP students must complete and submit an application form to register. We are currently accepting application forms for Winter Session 2009 and Spring 2010 semester.
Non-IUP Student Distance Education Application Form: This form should be used only by students not currently enrolled at IUP who wish to register for Distance Education (on-line) undergraduate courses. This application is for admission as a non-degree student. Non degree seeking students are not eligible for state or federal financial aid at IUP. Some private/alternative loans may be utilized to assist with paying for your distance education course(s). Contact IUP’s Financial Aid Office at 724-357-2218 or the Financial Aid website for details.
Transfer Grade/Credit for PASSHE Students: Students who are currently enrolled at another Pennsylvania State System university may obtain a “Visiting Student” form from their university. Complete this form and submit it to: The Office of Distance Learning and Continuing Education, Suite 100 Keith Hall, 390 Pratt Drive, Indiana PA 15705.

Graduate Studies
You must have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university to apply for graduate-level courses.
Current Students

One Course Only Application Form: Appropriate only for those who have never taken a graduate-level course at IUP. Use for both classroom and Distance Education (on-line) courses.
Continuing Certification Credits Application Form: For educators and other school professionals interested in taking multiple graduate courses but not intending to pursue a degree. Use for both classroom and Distance Education (on-line) courses.
