Dr. James A. Dyal is a professor in the Department of Economics. He received his Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana. He holds an M.A. degree in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana and a B.A. degree in Economics from Bucknell University. Dr. Dyal has been a member of the Department of Economics since 1977. His areas of expertise are Urban and Regional Economics, Economics of Human Resources, Labor Economics, and International Trade. He also teaches the liberal studies synthesis course, Poverty in America.
