Dr. Donald A. Walker is a former professor and chairperson of the Department of Economics. He received his Ph.D. degree in economics from Harvard University and his M.A. degree in economics from the University of Texas. Dr. Walker was a member of the Department of Economics from 1969 to his retirement in 1998. In 1988 he was the first faculty member awarded University Professor status for his outstanding teaching, research, scholarly activity, and service. His research and publications have appeared in every top journal on the history of economic thought. His areas of expertise are Macroeconomic Theory, History of Economic Thought, and General Economics.
