American Choral Directors Association (IUP ACDA)

The purpose of the IUP American Choral Directors Association is:

  • Foster and promote all types of choral music on campus and in the community.
  • Foster and promote the organization and development of choral groups of all kinds on IUP's campus, and in the community of Indiana, PA.
  • Foster and promote the understanding of choral music as an important medium of contemporary artistic expression.
  • Foster and promote a learning environment where ACDA members gain valuable information regarding the profession of choral music conducting (educational, professional, community, and spiritual choral ensembles).
  • Foster and promote an educational and social environment where members benefit from shared information regarding choral music and create lasting professional relationships that will be maintained throughout practiced careers.
