2D Gaming Camp (High School Students in Grades 10-12)

In this one-week workshop, students will learn how to rapidly construct different types of 2D games for entertainment. Platform, first shooter, scrolling, and paddle games will be covered. Collision, friction, gravity, object-oriented coding, world/environment selection/construction, character movement, level design, high score, lives, and more will be covered.

Learners will also be exposed to game play and storyline gaming concepts for rapid prototyping game creation. This workshop will be conducted in an applied manner.


July 21–24 or 28–31, 2014

Students must choose one week to attend.


8:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.


Stouffer Hall


$150 - Includes lunch in Foster Dining Hall daily.

Who Can Attend

This camp is open to any student in or entering grades 10, 11, or 12 in the Fall 2014 semester.
