Captain Carl Crandall is the S-3 and an assistant professor of Military Science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

A native of Commerce Township, Michigan, CPT Crandall was commissioned as a military police officer from Eastern Michigan University in 2005.  His previous assignments include: Detachment Commander, 40th Military Police Detachment, Ft Sill, OK; Military Transition Team Advisor, 25th Infantry Division, Tikrit, Iraq; Division Provost Marshal’s Office Operations Officer, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI, and Tikrit, Iraq; Platoon Leader, 58th Military Police Company, Helemano Military Reservation, HI; Platoon Leader, 39th Military Police Detachment, Ft Shafter, HI; Assistant S-4, 783rd Military Police Battalion, Inkster, MI; Gunner, 303rd Military Police Company, Jackson, MI.

Captain Crandall holds a Bachelor of Science degree in History from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Business and Organizational Security Management degree from Webster University.  His military education includes Military Police Senior Leaders Course, Military Police Basic and Advanced Courses, Advanced Military Transition Team Course, Police Transition Team Leaders Course, and Military Police Basic and Advanced Individual Training (OSUT).

His awards and decorations include: Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal with Second Star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon with Numeral 2, Meritorious Unit Citation with Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Combat Action Badge.
