How I became interested in Psychology
I’ve always been a “people-watcher,” and I found psychology to be a challenging way to understand observed behavior.
Areas of Interest
My research addresses the development of perception and social cognition in infants, young children, and individuals with autism. Specifically, I am interested in face recognition abilities and joint attention skills.
Current Research and Professional Projects
Currently I am working on several studies which investigate how face perception and joint attention skills are related from infancy through adulthood in typically-developing and autistic populations. I am also a co-investigator of a longitudinal study of infant siblings of children with autism. There are many opportunities in my lab for students seeking research experience.
