Troop 11 is an active outdoor unit, committed to the philosophy of "Keep the OUTING in SCOUTING!"

Troop 11 annually attends Penn's Woods Council's Summer Resident Camp at Camp Seph Mack, on the north shore of Yellow Creek Lake. Additionally, the Troop schedules outdoor camping activities in at least seven other months of the year, providing all of our Scouts with the opportunity for at least twenty camping days each year.

Our camping trips have taken the Scouts of Troop 11 to the battlefields of Gettysburg; on a bicycle trek along the C&O Canal, from Cumberland, Md. to Washington, D.C.; and canoeing on the Allegheny, Clarion, and Youghiogheny rivers.

Additionally, Troop 11 participates in "High Adventure" trips every other year. These adventures have taken Troop members, both youth and adult, to the BSA National Bases at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico and the Florida Sea Base at Islamorada in the Florida Keys. In 1998, the Troop made a return trip to the Halliburton Scout Reservation at Halliburton, Ontario, Canada. In 2002 and 2006, members of the Troop made return treks to Philmont. Another visit to Sea Base is being planned.
