Mr. Benner graduated from IUP in 1983 with B.S. in M.I.S. He continued his education at Carnegie Mellon, where he received his MSIA (MBA) in 1989.

He began working at Alcoa, Inc. in June 1983 in the MIS department working as a COBOL programmer. He has held various roles of increasing responsibility with IT systems over the past 30 years including Research/Development, Occupational Health, Manufacturing, Web Development, and Finance applications.

Alcoa is the world’s leading producer of primary and fabricated aluminum, as well as the world’s largest miner of bauxite and refiner of alumina. Mr. Benner is currently responsible for the common global systems used for Order Management and Value Chain Planning within Alcoa.

He and his wife currently live in Wexford, Pa.
