Movie: Dakota 38

Wednesday, November 20, 2013 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM
Indiana Theater, Philadelphia Street

As part of Native American Month at IUP, the Native American Awareness Council presents the story of Jim Miller and his group as they journey on horseback from Lower Brule, South Dakota to Mankato, Minnesota - the blizzards they endure, the Native and non-Native communities that house and feed them along the way, and the dark history they begin to wipe away.

For further information, please call the Department of Anthropology at 724-357-2841.

This event is sponsored by the Native American Awareness Council, with additional support from the Office of Social Equity and the Committee for the Study of Culture and Religion.
