Captain Christopher Davis

Assistant Professor of Military Science

Captain Davis grew up in Bridgeton, N.J., and enlisted for active duty in March 1994. He received his commission and graduated as a distinguished military graduate in 2007 through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga.

Upon completion of the Military Police Officer Basic Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., CPT Davis was assigned as the executive officer for Company B, 796th Military Police Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood. He then served as the executive officer for Company E, 795th Military Police Battalion, Fort Leonard Wood. Upon completion of the Military Police Captains Career Course, CPT Davis was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the 10th Mountain Division, located in Fort Drum, New York. He deployed to Kandahar Province, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as an Assistant S-3 and company commander for HHC 3 BSTB from March 2011 to March 2012. Captain Davis has been assigned as the S3/assistant professor of Military Science for the Warrior Battalion since June 2013.

Captain Davis is a graduate of the Military Police Advanced Leaders Course, Military Police Senior Leaders Course, Military Police Officer’s Basic and Advanced Courses, Drill Sergeant School, Hostage Negotiations Course, Antiterrorism Program Managers Course, the Inter-service Non-lethal Individual Weapons Instructor Course, and the Total Army Instructor Training Course.

His awards include the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), the Army Good Conduct Medal (X4), the National Defense Service Medal (X2), Overseas Service Ribbon (X2), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/two stars), Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (X3), the NATO Medal, and the Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. Captain Davis also was awarded the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Gold).

Captain Davis is married to the former Janie Smith of Indiana, Pa., and they have two children, Zackary and Trent.
