As a Doctoral One university, IUP is continually striving to attract outside funding sources for sponsored research. The university’s ability to obtain grant and contract funding and engage in research and public service are key elements in the maintenance of integrity, accreditations, and the academic reputation of IUP.
This institution has a fiduciary responsibility to properly manage grant and contract funds received from outside sources. The Office of Grant and Special Fund Accounting ensures university compliance with external restrictions placed upon grant and contract funding by the funding source while continuing to conform to the internal policies, procedures, and controls of the university.
