How I became interested in Psychology
I think I have always been interested in psychology—who isn’t? I took a General Psychology introduction course when still an undergraduate student and loved the material, and even the work involved in completing the course! I changed my undergraduate major area of study the following semester from business to psychology and never looked back. Suffice to say, I love what I do, and I feel so fortunate to get paid to work in a field that continues to interest me and motivate me to learn more about it.
Areas of Interest
My primary interest is in teaching loving yet effective parenting skills. I am also interested in psychological assessment and in aspects of professional ethics practiced by clinical psychologists.
Current Research and Professional Projects
I am currently working on an edited book exploring therapist self-care across contexts of practice.
