Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication

June 7–July 26; University Museum, Sutton Hall

Illustrator and IUP alumnus Mark Bender (1983) creates award-winning art for a variety of corporations with this exhibit titled “Pencil Paint Pixel: 29 Years of Visual Communication.” Admission is free, and an opening reception will be held on Thursday, June 12, from 5:00–8:00 p.m.

University Museum Gala: Masks, Music, A Night in Venice

September 21, 6:00–10:00 p.m.; University Museum, Sutton Hall

This annual benefit event is always a festive evening. This year’s gala recreates a carnevale night in contemporary Venice with fine art, music, dinner, and dancing. Reservations are required.

Manley is a sculptor and woodworker who explores the nature of maritime and coastal life through the familiar forms and symbolism of the maritime tradition.

Photography by students in the Communications Media Department at IUP presents a lively variety of portraits, landscapes, and aesthetic special effects.
