CALSA initiated its Speaker Series Spring 2013. Funding permitting, the series will continue. The series includes students in their senior year and alumni, Latino students, and students interested in Latino culture and Latin America, who speak about graduate school and career opportunities. The objective is to motivate and inspire students to consider graduate studies and further their education in order to pursue a profession of their choice.

The subjects covered in the talks are many, including the IUP experience, preparation for graduate studies, and important strategies for graduate school admissions and funding. Internship and career opportunities are also covered.
