Men's Awareness Program (MAP)

The following are the purposes of the Men's Awareness Program:

  • To promote, advocate, and educate the community about, and concerning a healthy masculinity.
  • To create an organization that can provide an avenue for addressing violence and violence related discrimination, oppression, and belief patterns within our society and world.
  • To assist the campus community in addressing violence related issues by employing a healthy masculine perspective.
  • To create an atmosphere to communicate freely without the fear of oppression and/or discrimination.
  • To participate actively, cooperatively, and collaboratively with other campus organizations, creating a safer society and world for all peoples.
  • To develop and use the knowledge and skills of the members to serve individuals and the community.

Membership is open to all members of the IUP community. Membership status is granted after attending two organizational meetings.  For more information on this organization, contact the president and/or advisor listed below:
