Campus Towers from above

IUP operates one apartment building, University Towers, located on the southeast corner of the campus and providing easy access to classroom buildings, Folger Food Court, the Center for Health and Well-Being, and the Post Office. More than 260 residents live in the Towers area during the academic year. University Police is located on the ground floor of the building.

Registered upperclass and graduate students are eligible to reside in these apartment units. University Towers is locked twenty-four hours a day, and residents gain access via their student I-Card.

Each apartment is air-conditioned and includes:

  • IUP cable television service
  • Local telephone service and Internet access (students must provide their own televisions, telephones, and/or computers)
  • Refrigerator, stove, sink, and cabinet space
  • Kitchen table and chairs
  • Living room couch and chair (except in the efficiency units)
  • Shower units
  • Bed, desk, desk chairs, and dresser for each resident
  • Bedrooms and living rooms are carpeted, and there is linoleum in the kitchen areas.
  • Laundry rooms are located on the first floor of University Towers.

University Towers provides two apartment styles:

  • Efficiency apartments for one or two students with the living and sleeping areas in one room and a separate bath and closet
  • One-bedroom apartments for two to three students with the living room separated from the bedroom.

Residents are encouraged to decorate their rooms; however, university-owned furniture cannot be removed from the room. Pictures and posters can be hung using poster putty only. Nails, bolts, tacks, glue, or other adhesives cannot be used to affix materials to the walls. Students may NOT return prior to the official opening of the residence hall to paint their apartments.
