A personal level investigation into addiction, sex work, and poverty in New York City's poorest neighborhood, Hunts Point.  A look beyond the medicine, science, and policy surrounding addiction, and into the personal narratives of some living with the disease of addiction.

Goals and Objectives

By the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:

  1. help humanize addicts, putting a face to the statistics;
  2. allow the addicts to tell their story, without judgment;
  3. show the resilience of the human spirit.
