VRIP Incentive Amounts

Years of Service Percent of Base Salary Minimum and Maximum Incentive
15–20 20% $10,000 to $20,000
More than 20 30% $14,000 to $30,000
  • Years of Service as of date of retirement.
  • Annual base salary for a faculty member is academic annual salary and does not include supplemental pay such as overload, summer pay, chair stipend, etc.
  • For non-faculty athletic coaches, annual base salary is the coach’s most recent contract salary, as adjusted per the CBA, and does not include supplemental pay such as overtime, compensation for camps and clinics, dual compensation, etc.
  • Employees will be paid in a lump sum minus appropriate deductions (does not include union dues and retirement contributions).
  • Employees must sign a release and settlement agreement.
  • Release and Settlement Agreements must be provided to faculty, who submit notices of intent to retire, no later than April 5, 2013 and to non-faculty athletic coaches no later than May 3, 2013.
