Journalism majors at IUP are invited to apply for the Larry Judge Sports Journalism Scholarship for the 2013-2014 during the Spring 2013 semester.
An applicants must:
- be a full-time student who has at least a 3.0 GPA and is in good academic standing.
- demonstrate interest and achievement in sports journalism, either through writing for the PENN, the Indiana Gazette, or another newspaper or for the IUP Sports Information Department.
- be a sophomore, junior, or senior, but cannot win the scholarship more than once.
- be of good moral character.
- have financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid.
- Must submit one letter of recommendation from a Journalism Department faculty member.
Applicants should submit a completed application form with accompanying resume that details qualifications. Submit application package to the Journalism Department no later than 2:00 p.m. on April 8, 2013.
Scholarship award will be announced during the Spring 2013 semester and awarded during the 2013–2014 academic year.
