DNP to Ph.D. Required Coursework

The DNP to Ph.D. program at IUP offers an accelerated course format in comparison to the traditional Ph.D. program. Students enrolled in the DNP to Ph.D. program will experience the same cohort format, taking two courses per semester on two Fridays per month, and finish in only four semesters.

The required DNP to Ph.D. coursework is as follows:

Nursing Core Courses (6 semester hours)

Evaluation in Nursing

Research Core Courses (15 semester hours)

Statistical Methods II
Quantitative Research
Qualitative Research
Research Seminar I
Research Seminar II

Dissertation (12 semester hours)

Dissertation Seminar
