The Position: The Department of Biology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2013. Our department is committed to innovative teaching and research in a student-centered setting.
Qualifications: We seek an individual who is broadly trained in the area of neurochemistry. A doctorate in biology or a related discipline is required. Postdoctoral experience is preferred. Expertise with cell culture and/or microscopy is also preferred. Candidates must communicate effectively and perform well during the interview, which will include a research seminar and may include a teaching demonstration.
Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Biology, advise students in undergraduate and graduate programs, engage in scholarly work in the field and participate in related university and community services.
