Make sure your child is dressed for physical activity (shorts, t-shirt, sneakers, etc.). Please: no flip flops, boots, loose jewelry, or any other item that may be broken or may cause injury.

Swim Lessons

Make sure your child has appropriate swim attire (swim shorts, one-piece bathing suit, etc.), and towel to dry off with. If your child needs nose or ear plugs, please bring those as well.

Be dressed for physical activity. You will either have one-on-one training, or engage in group fitness classes led by an exercise training student. These students are very knowledgeable in the field and can help design you a custom fitness plan that fits your personal goals.

Make sure your child is dressed in comfortable clothes and shoes. They will be working on fine and gross motor skills and engaging in small-group play. Click here to register a child in the Childcare Center.

What to Expect

When you arrive at Zink Hall, you will sign your children in at Gym A. From there, the students will be grouped according to grade level and meet with their teachers. The Pre-K–1st grade and 4th–5th grade students will start in the gymnasiums (Pre-K–1st grades in Gym B, and 4th–5th grades in Gym A). The 2nd–3rd grade and 6th–12th grade students will start in the swimming pool and will be taught based on swim levels established by the Red Cross Learn to Swim Curriculum. At 1:45 p.m., the groups will switch, with the Pre-K children going to the childcare center, the K–1st grade and 4th–5th grade students going to the swimming pool, and the 2nd–3rd grades and 6th–12th grades going to the gymnasiums (2nd–3rd grades in Gym A, and 6th–12th grades in Gym B).
