SEAP is designed to assist all employees of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education and their family members in receiving no-cost, confidential personal support for a wide variety of issues, including drug and alcohol addiction issues. Employees who have a substance abuse problem are strongly encouraged to use SEAP as a resource for addiction assessment and treatment referral services.

AA is a worldwide fellowship of sober alcoholics whose recovery is based on 12 steps. AA’s sole purpose is to carry the AA message to the alcoholic who still suffers. There are no dues or fees, and the only requirement for membership is the desire to stop drinking.
ACA is a not-for-profit, voluntary educational organization founded in 1953 to promote understanding among individuals, professionals, and organizations that alcoholism is a treatable illness. ACA recognizes a distinction between responsible drinking and alcohol abuse, and encourages comprehensive college campus alcohol education programs, including employee, student, and faculty assistance.
ACDE is a national, nonprofit organization that offers education about the health hazards associated with the use of drugs. While its efforts encompass the public-at-large, it is mindful of the particularly urgent educational needs of children, adolescents, and young adults, codependents, coworkers of drug abusers, expectant mothers, disadvantaged minorities, and other high-risk groups.
NCADI develops and distributes pamphlets, booklets, reports, and posters on alcohol and other drugs. Printed materials are available without charge and films and videotapes can be borrowed through state clearinghouses.

NIAAA provides leadership in the national effort to reduce alcohol-related problems. They offer many free, easy-to-read publications covering a wide range of alcohol-related topics.
NIDA’s mission is to lead the nation in bringing the power of science to bear on drug abuse and addiction. This charge has two critical components. The first is the strategic support and conduct of research across a broad range of disciplines. The second is ensuring the rapid and effective dissemination and use of the results of that research to significantly improve prevention, treatment, and policy as it relates to drug abuse and addiction.
The National Substance Abuse Index provides a centralized, comprehensive, and easy-to-use directory for the full spectrum of resources related to dealing with alcoholism and drug addiction.
NCADD’s mission is to increase public awareness and understanding of the disease of alcoholism and drug dependence. NCADD and its national network of state and local affiliates provide education, prevention, information/referral, intervention, treatment, and recovery support services.
DDAP is charged with developing and implementing a comprehensive health, education, and rehabilitation program for the prevention, treatment, and case management of substance abuse, substance dependence, and gambling addictions.

The Armstrong-Indiana Drug and Alcohol Commission is the designated Single County Authority for drug and alcohol services in Armstrong and Indiana counties in the state of Pennsylvania. As such, the commission receives, administers, and allocates state and federal drug and alcohol funds targeted for this two-county area.
