Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex

The sixth annual Laurel Highlands Communications Conference will be held on April 9 and 10, 2015, in Indiana, Pa. Conference presentations will be scheduled both days.

Students and other attendees will need to fill out the Conference Registration Form.

Jennifer Miele, Vice President of Marketing, Excela Health

Jen Miele speakingAfter nearly eight years as Westmoreland County Bureau Chief for WTAE Channel 4 Action News, Jennifer Miele joined Excela Health as vice president of Marketing and Communications. Her mission: to drive Excela’s visibility throughout western Pennsylvania, representing the health system in the community, in the media, on-air and online. In just four years, she and her team have amassed dozens of awards for their advertising work and realized tremendous success in Excela’s brand awareness.

Miele has more than a decade of experience in news reporting, beginning her career at WDBJ in Roanoke, Va. as a business reporter, then moving to WTAJ in Altoona as a business and general assignment reporter, finally joining WTAE in 2004.

She is an adjunct professor of Advertising and Promotion at St. Vincent College and a former columnist for the Tribune-Review. She serves as emcee for dozens of charity events each year and sits on several boards.

Miele is a 2000 graduate of the McKenna School of Business Economics and Government at St. Vincent College. She holds a master’s degree in Political Science from Virginia Tech. She says her favorite college odd job was working as a hand model for local magazines.

Miele lives in North Huntingdon Township with her husband, Dr.Jason Cinti, who practices chiropractic in Penn Township, and their two daughters—Francesca and Vivienne, who are just one year apart.
