The dietetic internship provides students with practice skills in clinical nutrition, management (foodservice and community), nutrition education, and nutrition intervention.
The IUP dietetic internship is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND; acend@eatright.org; phone 312-899-0040 or 800-877-1600, ext. 5400) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, 120 South Riverside Plaza, Suite 2000 Chicago, Illinois 60606-6995, originally in July 1998, with continued accreditation most recently reaffirmed in September 2011.
