In this episode of Budget Matters, released April 13, 2012, David Werner, IUP interim president, talks with Bill Balint, IUP’s chief information officer, about possible ways that offices can use smartphones and land lines in the most cost-effective way. Questions asked include reducing the number of land lines, using existing wifi networks on campus instead of paying for data plans, and giving stipends to employees for using their cell phones instead of the university paying all expenses.
