In Their Own Words:

The Master of Education program at IUP is a wonderful program for working teachers and administrators, as it is designed to fit nicely into most working schedules. After completing the program, I believe that I have grown as a leader in my workplace and feel that I have mastered the necessary skills to advance my career. I am very satisfied with the content and pedagogy that I have learned from this program and would recommend IUP’s Master of Education program to any educator looking to advance his or her career by becoming a more effective leaders in curriculum, instruction, and administration.

Selecting the MEd in Education program was the best decision I could have made in choosing my graduate coursework! Learning how to research, utilizing current technology, and bouncing ideas off professional colleagues in the teaching field are only a few of the major benefits to this program.

The MEd in Education program repositions the teacher as learner and fully immerses her in the latest educational research—as both an informed consumer and practitioner. Rather than relying on basic trial and error methods, the teacher becomes a true leader of educational reform in her own classroom and school. What I most appreciated about this program was having the opportunity to explore topics that were relevant to my classroom, my content area, my students, and being able to engage in professional discourse with other educators.
