The ALS-RTC is an applied, interdisciplinary center that supports sponsored research, program evaluation, policy analysis, technology transfer, and training.
It was established in 2005 as part of the Sociology Department within Indiana University of Pennsylvania’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences. Housed at the Dixon University Center in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the ALS-RTC focuses its efforts on public and nonprofit sectors operating within the Commonwealth. The ALS-RTC, along with faculty and students associated with IUP’s Administration and Leadership Studies Ph.D. program, is committed to working closely with nonprofit state and federal government agencies in such areas as transportation, labor, health, welfare, business and industry, higher education, and local and state government. The ALS-RTC strives to provide value-added services to the Commonwealth while enriching the teaching and educational experience of its students and faculty.
