About Me:
I am very close with my family, especially my brother. I am involved in different activities both in academia and extracurricular. I am currently the vice president for SPAN at IUP and have been on an organized tennis team since I was a freshman in high school. I also enjoy reading various kinds of books and spending time with my husband and dog, Onyx, in my spare time.
Why School Psychology?
I have always known that I wanted to work with children, while shadowing several different professions and careers, including: school psychologist, school counselor, and hospital social worker I found that I had enjoyed the school psychology atmosphere the most. I want to help children in all aspects of their lives, especially achieving academically, emotionally, and socially. A career in school psychology is where I believe I will have the most impact in student’s lives while doing something that I am passionate about.
Why IUP?
While shadowing a couple different school psychologists from my hometown, who had gotten their degrees from IUP, they had nothing but excellent comments about the program and professors.
