About Me:
I am in my second year as a student in the School Psychology program at IUP and my first year in the doctoral program. I am currently working on completing my certification courses. I completed my Master of Education degree in August 2011 and am currently enjoying teaching EDSP 102. Last year, I worked as a graduate assistant for Dr. Gurmal Rattan, professor in the Department of Educational and School Psychology. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pa., in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. While attending Pitt, I completed an undergraduate internship at the Day School at the Children’s Institute in Shadyside, Pa. I interned under Dr. Mary Denison, the school psychologist at the Day School, and worked primarily in a classroom with a number of adolescent students diagnosed with autism. My research interests involve autism classification, positive behavior support, and the identification of gifted students.
