The Pittsburgh Police Officer Stephen J. Mayhle/KPMG Memorial Scholarship Fund shall provide scholarship support to full-time students enrolled at Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
This award will be presented at the Departmental Graduation Ceremonies in May to the student who meets the following criteria, as selected by the faculty committee of the Department of Criminology.
- Must have a declared major in the Department of criminology with at least 56 earned credit hours and a minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Must be in good academic standing according to the standards of the University with good moral character;
- Must submit a maximum 300 words essay explaining his/her interest in pursuing a career in criminology; and
- Preference will be given to a student who has an immediate family member who has passed away while actively serving in the line of duty as a police officer.
Junior year applicants are permitted to reapply their senior year.
