Bricks and mortar, building and renovation. IUP’s facilities are used by more than 15,000 students , hundreds of employees, and a countless number of visitors. There is wear and tear, and, of course, as society advances and trends evolve, our facilities need to keep up with the times to ensure we are properly educating our students.
While IUP’s grounds and buildings are owned by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the commonwealth’s allocation to IUP’s budget does not cover all expenses of renovations and improvements and, sometimes, new construction. Gifts toward capital improvements allow us to continue to ensure the IUP community and the regional community have a safe and modern learning environment.
