Sometimes gifts help IUP with immediate need. But, we often need gifts that are put into funds and that fulfill a need over a longer period of time.
Gifts to the Annual Fund can help to give each of our colleges special equipment for use in the classroom or make it possible to bring to the lecture hall a special speaker or send a class on a field trip. Or, gifts to established scholarship funds mean that students who are chosen to receive those scholarships may use their awards to defray cost of tuition or books.
Longer-term gifts of larger amounts, those made through pledge commitments or through formal planning, are used for any of those purposes for others as deemed appropriate by the dean or chairperson.
