Master of Sport Science in Exercise Science
A M.S. in Exercise Science prepares students for career options in the health, fitness and sport industries. Recent IUP graduates have found employment in careers such as cardiac and chronic disease rehabilitation, fitness training and corporate wellness. In addition, students are choosing careers as strength and conditioning coaches at the professional, collegiate and high school levels. Other career opportunities may be found in the allied health professions such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and physician's assistant. Employment is also found in health insurance industry and research. The courses in the M.S. program can lead to certification offered by the American College of Sports Medicine, National Strength and Conditioning Association, and other nationally recognized fitness certifications.
