Accidental Icon: The Real Gidget Story

Kathy Zuckerman was 16 in 1957 when her father published Gidget, based on her life in the surfing culture of Malibu, Calif. Ms. Zuckerman will discuss the untold, true story of her life as the real Gidget, and how film and television helped turn surfing into a phenomenon.
