Financial Literacy

February 27, 2012

The trends in debt in the United States over the last 10 years support that Americans must be educated about financial matters. In the years 2001 through 2006, consumer debt grew at more than a fourfold rate over the rate of the increase in debt in the 1990s. This session will explore financial topics relevant to college students and young adults and provide information to help increase the level of financial literacy among the students.

Presented by Ms. Patricia McCarthy, director of IUP Financial Aid and assistant vice president for Enrollment Management.
