IUP Research Institute
The IUP Research Institute has many useful links to external grant and contract opportunities and to information about external funding agencies.
SPINPlus is a Web-based system that includes a database of funding opportunities (SPIN), a database of investigator profiles (GENIUS), and a matching alert service (SMARTS). SPIN provides up-to-date information on national and international funding sources and programs. GENIUS is a global database of scientific and scholarly expertise. IUP users create their unique profile, enabling the system to search the database and send them e-mail funding alerts through SMARTS. The Grants Resource Center of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) provides concise and current information related to grants, funding agencies, and new developments in external funding.
Note: Both SPINPlus and the Grants Resource Center are subscription-only services and are restricted to IUP faculty members, staff, and students. Access to the sites is available through on-campus computers or through IUP’s Virtual Private Network (VPN). Get information about IUP’s VPN.
