If you are an AFSCME employee and wish to request an alternate work schedule for Spring 2013, please submit the Spring 2013 Alternate Work Schedule Request form to your supervisor. Human Resources must receive this request signed by your supervisor by Friday, November 30, 2012, for it to be considered. Forms received after that date may result in the denial of your request for an alternate work schedule. A 24-hour time clock conversion chart can be found on the Payroll Services Hot Topics page.
As a reminder:
- If you choose the one-half hour lunch, you must specify which half-hour you will use as your lunch break. Please adhere to that schedule. Once you have received approval to change your lunch break, that schedule must be followed throughout the Spring.
- In offices where the AFSCME employees select a half-hour lunch, those offices must be open for business either from 12:00–12:30 or from 12:30–1:00 p.m. No office should be closed for a full hour if one employee has been approved for a one-half hour lunch break. Office employees who select to work 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. should follow the same procedure. These offices must be open for business at 7:30 a.m.
- The work schedule choices from which an employee may select are listed in the AFSCME Alternate Work Schedule Agreement. No other alternate schedule may be requested and/or approved.
- If you are working an alternate schedule and move to a different position, the approval for the alternate schedule does not move with you. You must discuss your work schedule with your new supervisor and submit a new form approved by the new supervisor.
