IUP is committed to a work environment free from any form of sexual harassment or sexual violence. The IUP Sexual Harassment Policy prohibits sexual harassment and sexual violence and provides reporting procedures.
The university’s Title IX coordinator is Dr. Rhonda Luckey, vice president for Student Affairs: Rhonda.Luckey@iup.edu. The coordinator’s responsibilities include overseeing the university's process related to all complaints of sexual misconduct and identifying and addressing any patterns or systemic problems that arise during the process of investigation.

Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination based on sex. Sexual harassment of students, which includes acts of sexual violence, is a form of sex discrimination prohibited by this federal law. When incidents of sexual harassment or sexual violence occur and are reported to campus officials, IUP takes immediate and effective steps to end sexual harassment and sexual violence.
