Prior to registering and participating in any on-campus interviewing activities held through the Career Development Center, please review the following information. Sign up for only those organizations in which you have a sincere interest and whose eligibility requirements you meet.
Who is eligible to participate in on-campus interviewing?
- Students meeting the stated qualifications for the position for which the organization is recruiting can participate in the on-campus recruiting process regardless of major. Qualifications are provided to the Career Development Center by the employer and posted on the College Central.com website (CCN).
Resume Preparation
- A resume is required for on-campus interviewing. Schedule an appointment with a staff member in the Career Development Center to have your resume reviewed.
Registering and Uploading Resume
- Go to College Central and follow the on-line instructions.
Signing up for an Interview
- Sign up for only those organizations in which you have a sincere interest and whose eligibility requirements you meet.
- A listing of employers can be found on the student Welcome Page when you select Search for On-Campus recruitment Jobs, which is a search screen. You can customize your search or leave this screen blank and scroll to the bottom and Begin Search. This screen will provide you with a listing of all employers who are scheduled to participate in on-campus recruiting. To view a particular job description and submit your resume for interview consideration, click on the ID number that appears in red. For interview consideration for that particular job posting, click on Submit Resume on the bottom of the page. If preselected, you will be notified by CCN, so check the site often if you have submitted a resume for interview consideration.
Interviews
- On-campus interviews are held in one of two locations on the IUP campus: 302 Pratt Hall or 302C Eberly. When scheduling your interview, please make a note of the location.
Interview Cancellations and No-Show Policy
- If there is a need to cancel your interview, notify Jan Shellenbarger (724-357-2235) in the Career Development Center at least two business days prior to the interview.
- In case of an emergency the day of the interview, you must make every effort to contact Jan Shellenbarger at 724-357-2235 in the Career Development Center so notice can be given to the interviewer.
- Failure to show up for an interview may result in your suspension from future interviews.
